Rebecca Ruth Knight (Becky)Rebecca Ruth Knight (Becky) was born and grew up in the rural mountains of western North Carolina. Her family history goes back several generations in those mountains. She graduated from West Henderson High School in 1977, and in 1981 earned her Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Mars Hill College, now Mars Hill University, in Mars Hill, NC. More recently, she earned a Master of Arts in Media Arts and Worship from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2018. Becky has sensed God's call for many years to use the arts, specifically stage theater arts, as a means of sharing the truths of God's Word, and making His name known. She was a co-director for about 10 years of a "drama team" (The Merrimon Players) at (the former) Merrimon Ave. Baptist Church in Asheville, where she sometimes performed, sometimes directed a production, and sometimes wrote scripts to be performed at the church...everything from monologues to short sketches and plays. She also directed a full production of "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" which was staged at the church. She has appeared in productions in past years, at Lyndon Baptist Church in Louisville, KY, the Hendersonville Community Theater in Hendersonville, NC, at Asheville Community Theater in Asheville, NC, and with Puritan Productions in the Dallas, TX, area. Her passion is to follow the call of God, to share the gospel of Christ and Him crucified, buried, and risen again, and to see lives touched and changed through the work of the Holy Spirit
