5/1/2013 | Announcing a new stage production of John Bunyan’s classic

“The Pilgrim’s Progress”

Puritan Productions will present “The Pilgrim’s Progress” on Friday, Oct. 18, at 7:30 pm, and on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 2:30 pm and 7:30 pm. It will be a performance of drama with ballet and chorus.

Next to the Bible, “Pilgrim’s Progress” has been read more than any other book in the English language. It was published in 1678; John Bunyan wrote it while confined in a jail cell for his Christian faith. The book is full of memorable characters like Christian, Faithful, Hopeful, Discretion, Evangelist, Interpreter, Mr. Worldly Wiseman, Pliable, Ignorance, By-Ends, Money-Love and is narrated by the Shining One.

Pilgrim’s Progress, however, is much more than a story of memorable characters. It is a presentation of the true gospel: By grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. And now, the story of Christian and his journey to the Celestial City is coming to the stage!

The public is invited to join us at the W.E. Scott Theater in the Fort Worth Cultural District.
